Welcome to our charming 3-star vacation rental, "On the Edge of the Cher," situated in the heart of the historic center of Saint Aignan. Just a 4-minute drive from the famous Beauval Zoo, our gîte is the perfect place for a short stay to visit the zoo or a longer vacation exploring the beautiful Loire Valley and its castles.With a surface area of 78m2, our cottage can comfortably accommodate up to 5 people. We also offer an extra bed for a child and a cot upon request, free of charge.
The gîte features a stylish entrance with a staircase that leads to the rest of the property. The charming lounge area is decorated in colonial red and grey, and includes a TV/DVD corner and a dining table. The fully equipped kitchen has all the amenities you need, including an induction plate, electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, and a Senseo coffee machine (with coffee pods supplied). Please note that only frying type cooking is prohibited.
The patio/laundry room is decorated with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and a WC for your convenience.
There are two independent bedrooms in the gîte. The master bedroom is furnished with a single bed (140 x 190), while the secondary room is equipped with a bunk bed suitable for a child's room (90 x 190 + 140 x 190) or a maximum of 3 persons. The bathroom on the floor includes a shower, hanging toilet, and a comfortable white satin washbasin.
Upon arrival, we require a deposit of €200 via check. Additionally, there is a visitor's tax of €0.88 per adult, with minors exempt.
We offer various optional services, including bed linen and bath towel rental/washing and set up for €5 per person, as well as a €40 household package.
Saint Aignan is a picturesque medieval town with winding, cobbled streets and charming stone, beard, and half-timbered houses. Don't miss the 12th-century collegiate church and its crypt with pictorial frescoes, as well as the breathtaking view from the Château de Saint Aignan (private). Take a stroll along the Cher River for a relaxing moment and enjoy the "Saint Aignan Beach Islands" with its festivities, swimming areas in the Cher to cool off, guinguette, and games for children.
You'll find all the necessary shops near the gîte, including restaurants, a bakery next door (perfect for breakfast), a bank, a tobacco shop, a cinema, and a grocery store.
