Nestled in the picturesque Dordogne Valley, just a short distance from Sarlat and the renowned villages of Domme, La Roque Gageac, and Beynac, lies the peaceful village of Montfort.Our charming country house, situated a mere 200 yards from Montfort castle and nestled against the hills, has been lovingly preserved to retain its original allure.
The guest rooms, recently renovated and located on the upper floors, offer uninterrupted views of our beautiful walnut grove and the expansive countryside beyond.
Featuring four smoke-free guest rooms (chambres d'hôtes), three of which boast European king size beds (160x200 cm), and one room with comfortable twin beds (90x200 cm), each equipped with ensuite shower rooms, our accommodations provide both comfort and meticulous attention to detail. Two of the rooms are also equipped with air conditioning, ensuring a pleasant stay during warmer months.
Start your day with a delicious breakfast served in our elegant wood-paneled dining room or enjoy the fresh air and scenic surroundings on our terrace. Train stations: The train stations available are Souillac and Sarlat.
Highway: If coming from Paris (Lyon Clermont F.) or Toulouse, take the A20 highway and exit at number 55 for Souillac.
From Souillac by car: Drive towards Sarlat and then take the D703 road towards "Vallée de la Dordogne". Once you reach Carsac, head towards the Village de Montfort and take the first right.
From Bergerac by car: Follow the Dordogne Valley road towards Sarlat, then follow the signs for Beynac and La Roque Gageac. Pass through the village and continue straight. Take a left turn towards Vitrac. At Vitrac Port, turn right towards Montfort. Follow the dead end road to the left of Castle Montfort.
From Sarlat by car: Follow the directions towards Cahors. At the traffic circle "sechoir a tabac-Leclerc", go towards Montfort. Once you reach the village of Montfort, take the first street on the right.
