Description for B&B:

Situated in Jonquières, just 6 miles away from the Orange antique theater and a mere 20-minute drive from Avignon, the Mas du Clos de l'Escarrat is an enchanting rustic farmhouse built in the typical Provençal style. Its origins can be traced back to the 17th century, incorporating historic buildings that have been carefully preserved during its renovation. While maintaining its authentic charm, the bed and breakfast also offers modern comforts to ensure a delightful stay.

The property boasts a breathtaking view of Ventoux Mount and is surrounded by scenic Cotes du Rhone vineyards, providing a tranquil and secluded atmosphere. The owners, Charles and Andrée Barail, are fluent in English and reside in the main house. Guests have the option of staying in two self-contained studio apartments or two larger two-bedroom apartments, each equipped with private facilities including a WC, shower, and kitchen.

The Mas du Clos de l'Escarrat is ideally located for exploring the wonders of Provence. The nearby Avignon and Chateauneuf du Pape offer plenty of attractions and the opportunity to embark on a wine tasting journey along the renowned Cotes du Rhone wine route. The region is also known for its captivating landscapes and picturesque lavender fields in the Luberon area.

With the convenience of the TGV train, Avignon can be easily reached from Paris in just 2 hours and 40 minutes, or from CDG airport in 3 hours. For those seeking a delightful bed and breakfast experience in Avignon, the Mas du Clos de l'Escarrat is the perfect choice.

Directions

Please be aware that we have intentionally decided not to put up signs at the entrance of our driveway in order to respect the privacy of our guests.

If you are traveling from the A7 motorway, take the Orange Sud exit (#22) and follow the signs for Avignon. Then, make a left turn onto the D950 road towards Vaison-la-Romaine & Carpentras. Disregard the first sign for Jonquières and continue on the D950. Upon reaching a roundabout, follow the sign for Jonquières and just before entering the village, take a right turn into the driveway of the Mas, known as "Chemin de l'Escarrat." This driveway is located immediately after passing the Sotalis company, approximately 1 kilometer after the roundabout.

If you are coming from Orange, drive through the village of Jonquières heading towards Carpentras on Avenue de la Libération. Near the outskirts of the village, make a left turn into a driveway that is flanked by the walls of the Sotalis company. At the entrance of this road, you will see a "dead end road" sign. The Mas is situated approximately 400 meters along this driveway.
