Situated just a few kilometers away from the City of Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi, both UNESCO World Heritage sites, lies the charming and fully renovated 17th-century cottage known as "Au fil de leau". Nestled in an enchanting setting, this characterful cottage welcomes you to an idyllic retreat.Located at the entrance of Montolieu, a quaint village renowned for its love of books, and situated on the banks of a serene river, this cottage offers a delightful living/dining room adorned with a fireplace and a convertible sofa. The fully equipped kitchen boasts a beautifully carved stone vault and a large bay window that opens onto a sunlit terrace of 30m2. From this terrace, enjoy a breathtaking view of the river and the garden.
The cottage features two double bedrooms, one with a 1m60 bed and the other with a 1m40 bed. The bathroom offers an authentic bathtub, an Italian shower, and a WC. Stay connected with the complimentary WIFI connection, and make use of the barbecue on the terrace, the petanque balls, and the swimming pool. For those who enjoy fishing, trout fishing is also possible on-site.
