The two rooms are separate from our house and have their own entrance. Each room has its own toilet and shower. The beds are 160x200 cm in size. Breakfast can be enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the swimming pool or in the shared conservatory. The rooms are equipped with cable TV and WiFi access is available. Private parking is provided.Esnandes is a charming village in Charente-Maritime, just a ten-minute drive from La Rochelle and Ile de Ré. It is located on the edge of the Marais Poitevin, also known as Green Venice. Our house is situated in the heart of the village, two kilometers from the sea. The peaceful and calm environment is perfect for relaxation. The village is picturesque with its narrow streets adorned with hollyhocks and charming cream-colored houses. It is also home to a 12th-century fortified church and the Mytiliculture Museum, which showcases the history of mussel farming.
Esnandes is also positioned on the Bay of Aiguillon, with La Rochelle to the south and the Vendée beaches to the north. The bay is a natural reserve for migratory birds, making it a paradise for birdwatching. The L.P.O organizes walks to explore this unique ecosystem and its diverse birdlife. Despite its proximity to the popular tourist destinations of La Rochelle and Ile de Ré, Esnandes has maintained its authentic charm. The village offers a peaceful retreat even during the tourist season, making it an ideal base to explore La Rochelle, Ile de Ré, and the Marais Poitevin.
You can enjoy scenic bicycle rides along the coastal pathway that surrounds the Bay of Aiguillon. The impressive Ile de Ré bridge is less than half an hour away, and a walk from the house to Pointe Saint-Clément offers panoramic views of the bay. The area is also known for its colorful carrelets, traditional fishing cabins that dot the Atlantic coast.
If you're craving golden beaches, the Vendée coast, including Les Sables-d'Olonne and La Tranche-sur-Mer, is less than 45 minutes away.

Séjour du 19 au 22 aout 2013
Jolie villa avec piscine, nous avons passé 3 jours agréables, l'accueil était chaleureux et sympathique, les petits déjeuner copieux, la chambre propre. Mme CAILLAUD était de bons conseils pour visiter la région. A refaire avec notre petite fille.

To reach the north of La Rochelle, head in the direction of "Ile de Ré" and pass through Lagord, followed by Marcilly and Esnandes.
