Description for B&B:

Experience the charm of a 16th century manor at our bed and breakfast, conveniently located near Valognes, Cherbourg, and the historic D-day beaches. Nestled in the peaceful countryside, our manor farm welcomes you with a picturesque poplar alley and authentic farm buildings including a cider-press and old arches. Our accommodation offers five beautifully appointed rooms, each equipped with comfortable queen size or four poster beds. For larger groups, we also have a two-room suite accommodating up to 15 guests.

The central location of our manor allows for easy exploration of nearby attractions such as the "La cité de la mer" in Cherbourg, the Channel Islands of Jersey and Guernesey, and the significant D-day beaches with their awe-inspiring monuments like Utah beach, Omaha beach, and Sainte Mére lEglise.

Steeped in history, the main building of our manor dates back to the 16th century, with even older foundations. Extensive renovations were carried out during the 18th century, preserving its unique character. The setting itself has a rich history dating back to the Gallo-Roman period, with Savigny being connected to the famous town of Alauma. Additionally, the property is bordered by the ancient Roman causeway of Cosedia.

My visit here with friends and my Dad was just incredible. The rooms and grounds are gorgeous and peaceful. Rose bushes abound. A trip I will never forget. Our hosts were just great!
