Experience the ultimate dream at “Au Passage du Gois” in Beauvoir-sur-Mer, nestled along the breathtaking Vendée coastline in the Atlantic Loire region. With endless sun, sea, and sandy beaches, this hidden gem is conveniently located less than 400 kilometers from the port of Cherbourg and approximately 200 kilometers north of Bordeaux. Known for its stunning coastline and unique microclimate, the Vendée offers the second most sunshine hours in France after the Rivièra (and did we mention the affordable beer?). Whether you visit in spring, summer, autumn, or winter, you'll be captivated by the charm and beauty of this region. Explore the coast and the countryside, both offering an array of fascinating attractions and activities. Our charming bed and breakfast boasts three cozy rooms, including a family room and two courtyard rooms. Additionally, we offer a holiday cottage with two bedrooms, converted from an old sheep stable, as well as the main house dating back to 1810, featuring four bedrooms and a 2-3 person apartment. Just a short stroll from the famous Passage du Gois, you'll find three restaurants, with more options in our village located 4 kilometers away. During the summer months (May-September), we invite you to savor delicious meals in our summer kitchen. With a coastline stretching 240 kilometers, including 140 kilometers of pristine sandy beaches, the Vendée is truly a paradise for holiday-goers. From picturesque fishing villages and stunning rock formations to lively coastal towns and the magnificent Passage du Gois, nature lovers and bird enthusiasts will be in awe. Thrill-seekers can enjoy a wide range of sports activities, including windsurfing, kite surfing, sand sailing, golfing, hiking, cycling, and horseback riding. Families with children will delight in the water parks, zoos, and aquariums dotting the region. Immerse yourself in the rich history of the Vendée, evident in its green rolling countryside known as the Bocage. Explore museums, historical monuments, castles, and abbeys, all showcasing the region's fascinating past. For more information, visit the website of the local tourist office of the Vendée at www.vendeetourisme.com. Don't miss the chance to visit the renowned historical amusement park, Puy du Fou, taking you on a captivating journey through 2000 years of history. Just like the coast, the Bocage is renowned for its scenic walking and cycling routes, weaving through lakes, rivers, and vineyards in the southern Vendée. It's time to escape and indulge in a well-deserved holiday. We look forward to welcoming you soon.Description for Gite
