Welcome to Hastings House! Originally built in 1855 by Elizabeth Shakespeare, our guest house has been serving visitors to Hastings St Leonards for over 160 years. With breathtaking views of Warrior Square gardens, the beach, sea, and Hastings Pier, our charming rooms are individually decorated and feature crisp linen sheets, luxurious duvets, and color TVs. Recently refurbished rooms also offer flat-screen TVs with free view channels. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the comfort of your room. Our guest house is open year-round, and hotel residents can relax in our licensed bar and lounge. We have a strict non-smoking policy throughout the house, and free Wi-Fi is available in both our lounge and bedrooms. Convenient parking is available around Warrior Square, with up to 2 hours of free parking between 10:00 and 16:00, and free overnight parking from 16:00 to 10:00. We also offer secure storage for bicycles within the hotel premises. Pets are welcome with prior arrangement for an additional charge of £5.00 per night. By Train: The Warrior Square station is just a short walk away, taking approximately 1 1/2 hours from London. You can find the timetable information for trains here.
By Coach: If you're travelling by coach, the Routes 23/24 stop on the seafront side of Warrior Square. National Express provides these services.
By Air: If you're flying into Gatwick Airport, you can easily catch a direct train to Warrior Square. More information about Gatwick Airport can be found here.
By Road: If you're driving from London, take the A21 towards Hastings and follow the signs for St Leonards Sea Front. From the west, take the A27 (Brighton) and then the A259, which is the main coastal route. If you're coming from the east (Dover), simply follow the A259 coastal route. If you're coming from Canterbury or Tenterden, take the A27 towards Hastings (A21) and follow the directions mentioned above.
When you're in Hastings/St Leonards, if the sea is on your right, Warrior Square is located 400 meters before the Pier. If the sea is on your left, you'll find Warrior Square 400 meters after the Pier.
There is usually free parking available near Warrior Square.
