Directions
LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS:
We are located in the Pays de la Loire region, near the village of Averton, which is on the northern border with Normandy. Our B&B, La Maison de Noyer, at La Cesnerie, is conveniently situated almost equidistant between Alencon and Le Mans.
To reach us, we recommend using LD Lines, specifically the Newhaven-Dieppe service. If you are coming from the M25 junction that connects with the M23, it will take you approximately an hour to reach Newhaven by car. The ferry journey itself takes around four hours and can be a truly relaxing way to start your trip. Once you arrive in Dieppe, it will take you approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes to reach us in St. Aubin du Desert via Rouen. Thanks to the speedy A28, this journey has become much faster compared to a few years ago when there was no autoroute.
Here are some driving times from various ferry ports: Dieppe, Caen, and Le Havre - 2 hours and 45 minutes; Cherbourg - 3 hours; Calais - 3 hours and 45 minutes. Additionally, Le Mans is only a 50-minute drive away, Alencon and Mayenne are both only 30 minutes away, and the Loire Valley and Saumur can be reached in 1 hour and 45 minutes.
To find us, follow these directions: Travel south on the A28, then take exit 20 and continue driving until you reach Sille le Guillaume. From there, drive to Fresnay sur Sarthe, then Souge le Ganelon, and continue on to St Paul le Gaultier. Drive towards Villaines la Juhel on the D15, which later becomes the D119 as it enters the Mayenne. Take a right turn onto the D268 towards Gesvres, and then take the first right to reach La Maison de Noyer at La Cesnerie.
If you are using a GPS, simply enter "LA CESNERIE 53700" for directions to our hamlet, which consists of only three houses. La Maison de Noyer is located down a short drive off the D268 and through a metal field gate.
