Situated in the village of Vernet Sainte Marguerite, perched over 1000 meters above sea level, the house offers breathtaking views of the Monne river and the surrounding volcanic landscape. The village serves as a gateway to both the southernmost volcano in the chain of Puys and the towering slopes of Sancy. The scenic drive to Vernet Sainte Marguerite along the D5 is a delight for those familiar with the Auvergne region, while in winter, the snowy plateau can provide an exciting challenge for adventurous drivers.

This 3-star cottage, suitable for up to 4 people, is an ideal base for hiking enthusiasts. It offers easy access to both the volcanic craters and the peaks of the Massif Central. The house itself features a beautiful slate roof and a rustic interior with antique decor, including old boxing gloves and vintage transistor radios. Modern comforts are discreetly incorporated, including a pellet stove for cozy evenings.

This beautiful house with a slate roof serves as the perfect retreat, capturing an ambiance of "raw wood and animal skins" combined with antique decor. The owner's collection includes vintage boxing gloves, squash racquets, old transistor radios, and hanging animal horns resembling trophies. While maintaining a sense of modern comfort, the house discreetly incorporates a pellet stove nestled between the hutch and buffet, a hidden TV screen within a cabinet, and a cozy couch. The kitchen, although not equipped with a dishwasher, showcases a charming open counter leading to the dining room. Ascending the wooden staircase, you will find the attic transformed into a sleeping area with two bedrooms - one furnished with a double bed (140) and the other with two single beds (90). The bathroom and toilet are conveniently located on this floor. For those seeking sunlight, enjoy breakfast on one side of the deck or the balcony, while taking in the picturesque and rural heritage of Vernet Sainte Marguerite. From the balcony, you can admire the village church, the square with its monument to soldiers from both world wars, the town hall, the fountain, and the washhouse (where you might catch a glimpse of women still doing laundry). In the distance, the magnificent puy Allou completes the panoramic view.
