Located just 9 kilometers from Sarlat, this tranquil oasis is a must-visit destination. Situated halfway between Sarlat and Montignac-Lascaux, this stunning XVIIIth century house is nestled within a vast 3-hectare park and boasts a large salt water swimming pool (14x7m). Our five charming bedrooms, each uniquely decorated and bathed in southern sunlight, open onto the picturesque garden and offer separate entrances and private bathrooms with showers or baths and toilets.

Depending on the season, breakfast can be enjoyed in the dining room or in the garden beneath the orchard. Indulge in a delectable assortment of homemade jams, freshly baked bread, and a variety of fruit salads or cakes to start your day. Far away from the bustling city, the only sound that will wake you in the morning is the delightful chorus of birdsong.

On select evenings, dinner can be arranged upon reservation. Delight in traditional local cuisine prepared in-house, featuring delicacies such as foie gras, duck, ceps, and cabecou.

From our holiday rentals, you can easily access the most enchanting sites of the Périgord Noir region, including Sarlat, Lascaux, les Eyzies, and the Dordogne valley, all within a 20-minute drive. Further afield, you can explore Padirac, Rocamadour, Bergerac, Cahors vineyards, Périgueux, and Collonges la Rouge.

Adjacent to the garden, there are hiking trails ranging from 20 minutes to 5 hours in duration. For the more adventurous, a three-hour walk will lead you to the exquisite gardens of the Eyrignac manor.

Description for Gite

Don't miss out on this peaceful haven just 9 kilometers from Sarlat! Thomas Barn is situated in the beautiful park of the "Granges Hautes" and offers two separate two-level holiday cottages, each measuring 50 square meters and accommodating 2 to 3 people.

The ground floor of each cottage features a cozy living and dining area with its own entrance, complete with a television. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, ceramic stove tops, and washing machine. Plus, there are independent toilets for your convenience.

Upstairs, you'll find a comfortable bedroom with a double bed (160 cm wide) and in one of the cottages, an additional single bed (90 cm wide). There is also a bathroom for your use.

Outside, you'll have access to a private garden with garden furniture, as well as the pool, both directly accessible from the cottage. Adjacent to the garden, there are hiking trails ranging from 20 minutes to 5 hours, and if you're feeling adventurous, you can even take a 3-hour walk to the stunning gardens of the Eyrignac manor.

We are perfectly located in the heart of Périgord Noir, with 80% of the main attractions within a 20-minute drive, including Sarlat, Beynac, La Roque Gageac, Les Eyzies, Montignac et Lascaux, The Eyrignac Gardens, and the Dordogne and Vézère valleys. If you're willing to venture a bit further, you can explore Padirac, Rocamadour, Bergerac and Cahors vineyards, Périgueux, and Collonges la Rouge.

The Périgord region is packed with incredible sites, with a chapel, house, or castle to discover at almost every kilometer. And let's not forget the unforgettable gardens!

A stay in Thomas Barn will undoubtedly be a memorable experience. Please note that during peak season, the minimum stay is 1 week, and during low season, it is 3 consecutive days.

Un très beau séjour chez Anouk et Gilles: la qualité de leur accueil nous a profondément touchés.
Le cadre est magnifique, extérieur comme intérieur, amoureusement entretenu; une cuisine de très grande qualité et des petites attentions émouvantes, sans compter les conseils judicieux pour les visites touristiques.
Merci infiniment pour ce moment passé chez vous, notre meilleur souvenir parmi les maisons d'hôtes que nous avons fréquentées

Directions

If you are coming from Sarlat, continue in the direction of "Brive La Gaillarde" until you reach the village of "Saint Crépin et Carlucet". When you see the signboard marking the beginning of the village, continue straight for approximately 200 meters. Ignore the second signboard on your right for "Saint Crépin". You will then arrive in the center of the village, with the school on your left and the town hall on your right. The entrance to "Les Granges Hautes" is located on your right, directly across from the town hall. Look for the signboard. The house is about 100 meters away.

If you are coming from the A20 motorway, take the "Brive la Gaillarde" exit if you are coming from the north, or the "Souillac" exit if you are coming from the south. Follow the signs for Sarlat or Salignac. In Salignac, continue in the direction of Sarlat for approximately 4 kilometers. When you reach "Saint Crépin et Carlucet", go straight for about 100 meters before turning left onto the road leading to "Les Granges Hautes". The road begins just in front of the town hall, near the school. The house is about 100 meters away.
