ENVIRONMENT, VIEW, AND NEIGHBORHOOD: The cottage is located in a serene countryside setting, nestled in a quiet hamlet on the outskirts of a forest. The hamlet is home to only fifteen inhabitants, as well as numerous deer and wild boar that occasionally grace the garden. With no neighboring properties obstructing the view, you will enjoy uninterrupted vistas of the picturesque countryside. Although the cottage is attached to the owners' house, it has a separate entrance, ensuring complete independence for guests.INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR AMENITIES: The cottage exudes a pleasant and cozy ambiance, boasting a spacious main living room measuring 30 square meters with a kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is equipped with a gas hob, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, and washing machine. A highlight of the living room is the four-meter-high ceiling and a large bay window that leads to a covered balcony facing south, providing ample natural light. The living area is complemented by a charming mezzanine area measuring 18 square meters, furnished with two beds (one measuring 120 cm and the other 140 cm). The mezzanine also features a partitioned area with a comfortable double bed enclosed by blackout curtains, as well as a spacious 2 square meter closet. Adjacent to the mezzanine is a 6 square meter bathroom with a shower, sink, toilet, and a generously sized closet. WiFi access is available, and if needed, a changing table, cot, and high chair can be provided. Please note that sheets and towels are not provided. Pets are accepted under certain conditions.
LOCATION AND NEARBY CITIES: The cottage is conveniently located just a 5-minute drive from the center of Lavelanet. It also offers easy access to various nearby cities, such as Montségur (13 km), Mirepoix (18 km), Camon (20 km), Foix (25 km), Tarascon (35 km), Pamiers (45 km), Carcassonne (60 km), St Girons, and St Lizier. These cities are a short distance from the region's renowned Cathar castles, medieval towns, and prehistoric sites. Additionally, the valleys of Couserans and Vicdessos are within a 1-hour drive, while Andorra, the sea, and Spain are all reachable within 1 hour and 30 minutes.
ACTIVITIES AND RECREATION: The Ariège region offers a plethora of diverse and exciting activities, including canoeing, canyoning, rafting, hydro speed, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, swimming in lakes and rivers, and even tree climbing. Other notable attractions include Fontestorbes intermittent fountain, a tree climbing site, the Bélesta forest, and the Roquefort Les Cascades waterfalls, which cascade down a height of thirty meters.
