Additionally, there are summer fairs, traditional French flea markets known as "vide greniers," stunning Romanesque churches, castles, ruins, and numerous caves to explore. The Musée du Président Jacques Chirac in Sarran is also worth a visit. Our house's convenient location, just a six-minute car ride from the Cantal department, makes it an ideal base for exploring this beautiful region. Don't miss the charming village of Salers, the impressive Puy Mary mountain (1787 meters high), the historic route dotted with castles in the Auvergne, and the adventure of driving through the rugged volcano area.
