La Souqueto, named after the vines that provide shade to both the front and back of the house, is a beautifully restored Maison Bourgeoise. It has been carefully decorated and furnished with a blend of old and new elements. The house is located on the outskirts of the village, allowing guests to enjoy the soothing sounds and views of the nearby river, while still being situated in the heart of the old medieval center.The atmosphere at La Souqueto is welcoming and relaxed, offering a wide range of experiences to indulge the body, mind, and senses. In addition to freshly brewed coffee, tea, croissants, breads, conserves, and fresh fruit, breakfast often includes a delightful seasonal treat such as a tart, a layered yogurt and fruit cup, or a cake. The house is adorned with unique decor and artifacts, and features libraries and a spacious, bright artists studio, providing ample artistic inspiration. For moments of private relaxation, guests can enjoy the roof terrace and small patio. The rooms are charming and come with complimentary toiletries, hairdryers, and fluffy towels. If there is anything else you require, simply let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Upon request, we offer evening meals, although there are also two restaurants within walking distance, one located practically next door and another by the river. The village itself offers various recreational activities such as swimming, petanque, tennis, fishing, and horseback riding.

Welcome to our beautiful gite located in Mirepeisset, an idyllic village surrounded by natural beauty and exciting activities.The gite is perfectly situated near the sparkling clean river La Cesse and its reservoir La Garenne, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim. If you prefer the beach, the sea is just a short 30-minute drive away, offering opportunities for kite- and windsurfing.
Within the village, there are tennis courts, petanque, fishing, and horse riding facilities for both children and adults. Additionally, being next to the Canal du Midi, you can explore the shaded paths and waterways by walking, cycling, or even cruising. Bicycles and boats are available for hire locally.
Nature enthusiasts will love the nearby gorges, which offer both gentle and rigorous hiking trails.
For history and culture lovers, our location is perfect for visiting Cathar strongholds, medieval towns, and fashionable cities like Narbonne and Beziers, which are just 20 minutes away. If you're willing to drive a bit further, Montpellier, Perpignan, and Carcassonne are all approximately 1 hour away.

If you are traveling from Perpignan on the A9, take exit 38 (Narbonne Sud) and continue on the N9 towards Beziers. At the third roundabout, turn left onto D607 towards Marcorignan. Proceed straight for approximately 12 kilometers, then make a right turn towards Mirepeisset. Look for a restaurant called La Taverna in the center of the village, with a carpark on the right side. We are located in the little alley directly across from the carpark entrance.
For those coming from Montpellier on the A9, take exit 36 (Castres, Mazamet) and turn right towards Castres, Mazamet, St. Pons. Continue until you reach the fourth turn-off for MONTADY. At the T-junction, turn left and follow the road straight for 23 kilometers. After passing Argeliers, take an immediate left towards Mirepeisset. Follow the signpost and turn right into Mirepeisset. Look for a restaurant called La Taverna in the center of the village, with a carpark on the right side. We are located in the little alley directly across from the carpark entrance.
If you are coming from Carcassonne, avoid taking the Autoroute. Instead, take the D610, which is the direct road from Carcassonne to Beziers (later becoming the D11). Follow the green sign for Narbonne and then watch for the sign for Trebes on the left, which will lead you to the D610. Stay on this route towards Beziers. After Pouzols, take a right at the large roundabout towards St Marcel, and then a left at the next signpost for Mirepeisset. Look for a restaurant called La Taverna in the center of the village, with a carpark on the right side. We are located in the little alley directly across from the carpark entrance.
