Description for B&B:
Casa Marta is a charming 18th-century stone building situated in the picturesque village of Pascoso, located in the Apuane Park in Tuscany, Italy. It boasts three floors, each spanning approximately 325 square feet. Perched at an elevation of 2321 feet above sea level, this historic house offers a cozy living experience. The layout of the house consists of a well-equipped kitchen/living area, two comfortable bedrooms, a full bathroom, a convenient powder room, and two spacious pantries. While there is no lawn, there is a lovely outdoor space just outside the French doors of the ground floor bedroom, perfect for a small table, chairs, and a sunshade.
You can access Casa Marta through two entrances – the front door leads to the kitchen and pantry, while the back door leads to the downstairs bedroom. Nestled on a hill, the house features three floors on one side and two on the other, providing a unique architectural design.
The house is tastefully furnished with a blend of new and antique pieces, including Tuscan furniture dating back to the 19th century. The light fixtures exude elegance, and for entertainment, we have provided a television with satellite channels, a radio, and a CD player. Although a telephone is not yet installed, there is a public phone available in the town, and our office offers telephone, computer, and internet access.
To ensure your comfort during colder months, Casa Marta is equipped with a central heating system powered by gas. Additionally, a working fireplace graces the second floor, adding a touch of warmth and coziness that is essential for a mountain retreat.
Description for Gite
Pascoso is the perfect destination for nature enthusiasts. Its greatest feature is the abundance of natural surroundings, making it an ideal place to explore. Additionally, Pascoso is conveniently located near the renowned Tuscan cities of art, including Lucca, Pisa, Florence, and Siena, as well as popular beaches like Forte dei Marmi and Viareggio, all within a 30-mile radius. Moreover, the area boasts several exceptional golf courses, such as Golf Alisea, Montecatini Golf Club, Club Golf Montelupo, Tirrenia Golf Club, Cosmopolitan Golf & Country Club, and Golf Club Fontevivo, all reachable within an hour's drive. Pascoso is a paradise for hikers, offering numerous mule paths suitable for mountain biking and horseback riding, with rental services available in the village. Some hikes require a short drive to the starting point, while others can be accessed directly from your doorstep. For off-road vehicle enthusiasts, the opportunities are limitless. Fishing enthusiasts can enjoy a reserved section of the Turrite Stream, where trout can be found, although they may not grow to substantial sizes due to low water levels. In Pascoso, the only sounds you'll encounter are the barks of dogs and the chatter of locals, as tranquility prevails throughout the mountainside. This area is perfect for hiking, horseback riding (with horse rental options available at two nearby barns), and mountain biking.Reviews

Directions
To get to Pascoso, you need to first arrive in Lucca. If you're coming from North Italy (Milan) or South Italy (Rome), you'll reach Florence first (heading South and North respectively). Once at Florence North, take the MOTORWAY to PISA NORTH (Pisa Nord) without exiting the motorway that goes from Milan to Rome. After around 50 kilometers (35-40 miles), you'll reach LUCCA, where you should exit the motorway at either Lucca West (LUCCA OVEST) or Lucca East (LUCCA EST). In Lucca, take the state road 12 (SS 12) towards ABETONE/GARFAGNANA, following the road signs also found at the motorway exits. After about 5-6 kilometers from Lucca, you'll reach PONTE A MORIANO and make a left turn, continuing to follow the direction of Abetone/Garfagnana. Along the way, you'll encounter four tunnels, and after the fourth tunnel, turn right towards BORGO A MOZZANO. After approximately 2 miles, you'll reach DIECIMO (about 5 minutes of driving), and 200 meters after the road sign for "Diecimo," you'll see a Tamoil gasoline pump on the left side of the road. Another 100 meters ahead, make a left turn following the road sign for "PESCAGLIA." There is only one asphalt road, which will lead you to Pescaglia (around 8-10 kilometers from Diecimo) and then Pascoso (about 6-7 kilometers from Pescaglia).
