Located in the Pyrénées-Orientales, the Domaine de Coussères is situated in a unique and peaceful setting: the old Occitan bastide dominates a Mediterranean landscape of cliffs, garrigues, and vineyards, where absolute calm reigns. The proximity of the Gorges de Galamus and numerous Cathar castles adds a grand and historical touch to the guests' stay. Nature, silence, and comfort are its strengths. The rooms are very quiet and spacious, averaging 30 m2, and naturally cool (north exposure, thick walls). The beds are large and the bedding is of high quality. Each room has a sitting area, a bathroom, and private toilets. Two rooms can accommodate a third person. The family suite consists of two rooms, each with a bathroom and toilet. It is ideal for parents with their children. The rooms are cleaned daily. Guests also have access to a dining room, a large living room, a library, and a winter garden. The estate is adorned with a large wooded garden with resting benches, a solarium, a boules court, and numerous terraces with breathtaking views of a wild and preserved landscape, consisting of hills with holm oaks and cypresses, vineyards, and all the flora and fauna of the Mediterranean. The region offers a great diversity of landscapes and tourist sites: old villages and Romanesque abbeys, the foothills of the Pyrénées, several Cathar castles including Peyreperthuse and Quéribus, the Mediterranean with Collioure, the medieval city of Carcassonne, the Tautavel Prehistory Museum, the Gorges de Galamus, not to mention the wine cellars.
